But we were closer than on Monday, so we will hope that she keeps improving and gets to an ANC of 750 by next Monday so we can get going on this round. Again, I am a bit disappointed, but looking back at our records, we were delayed 10 days last time going into this same chemo block, so if we do better than that I will be excited. Her hemoglobin improved and her platelets are completely normal, so hopefully we will get there with the white count by Monday. And since she is no longer neutropenic (her ANC was 588) we are going to go out and do fun stuff this weekend!
Thnaks for checking in on us and for your continued prayers! Also, Childhood Cancer Awareness month is over, but I want you guys to keep praying for all of the children who face battles like Maddie’s. I hear about more kids being diagnosed every day and it just breaks my heart for other families to have to face cancer in a child. We are still trying to raise money for CureSearch through the Milestones Walk. We are incredibly lucky to have full insurance coverage for Maddie, which means we do not have the added financial stress that a cancer diagnosis can also bring. If you know another family facing a similar battle, please think of donating to them as it is terrible to have to deal with the enormous stress of battling cancer and then throwing on massive medical bills.
Also, I want to wish a Happy Birthday to my brother Matt! Love you!
Love to everyone,
Liz, Brandon and my Maddie monkey
